Ndi Roland Akoh holds a doctorate in Physical Geography with specialty in Applied Geomorphology and Planning from the University of Buea, Cameroon. Between 2011 to 2012, he worked as Natural resources Management Officer for the Society for Initiatives in rural Development and Environmental Protection (SIRDEP), a Non-Governmental Organisation where he gained practical knowledge on development issues. This gave him strong technical skills which are indispensable in research and outreach as he worked as part of a close-knit team of experts from different disciplines, Non-Governmental Organizations and nationalities. He was sub contracted by the Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV) where he prioritized the needs of 104 water catchments in some 5 council areas in the North West Region of Cameroon and developed action plans to ensure sustainable management. In 2012, he was recruited as an assistant Lecturer in the department of Geography, Faculty of Arts Letters and Social Sciences in the university of Yaounde I. He is currently a senior lecturer of Geography in the same University. His areas of research interest revolve around applied Geography and includes; applied Geomorphology, Urban Planning and Management, Environmental Management, Climate change issues, urbanisation, Risk and Disaster Management issue to which he has a significant number of publications to his credit including:
