RIDA is an association of researchers, academics, development workers, community leaders and any persons with genuine interest in research for development. Its main objective is to promote development-oriented research on and in Africa. This association is apolitical, non-religious and non-profit making. RIDA’s research interests include but are not limited to climate change, agriculture and food security, environment and development, health policy and planning, global health, risk and disaster management, international development, trade, diplomacy and foreign policy, economic and social development, urbanisation, industrialisation, and globalisation. We are a multidisciplinary team of dedicated researchers committed to the development of the African continent through the production of knowledge while building a new Afrocentric mindset in science, innovation and development.

COORDINATOR

Humphrey N Ndi holds a doctorate degree in Human Geography from the University of Yaounde I. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Diplomacy and Foreign Policy from Loughborough University London. 

Accountant

Ndi Roland Akoh holds a doctorate in Physical Geography with specialty in Applied Geomorphology and Planning from the University of Buea, Cameroon. 

TAKEM MBI B.M.

Takem Mbi B.M. is a Senior Research Officer with the Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation, Cameroon. He holds a doctorate degree in Physical Geography with specialty in Environmental Dynamics and Risks from the University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon.

JUDE N. KIMENGSI, PhD

Jude Kimengsi is an Excellence Initiative Research Fellow at the Technische Universität Dresden (Germany), and an Associate Professor in Resource and Development Geography at the University of Bamenda, Cameroon.
